Praise by Paige Squirrell

I’ve been thinking about the power of PRAISE. As I have been reading through the Psalms, it has struck me that praising God isn’t a suggestion. It’s a command, a way of life. In the middle of another week that can feel messy and tiring, may God open our eyes, ears, and hearts to the power of PRAISE. May He give us creative ways to live a life of PRAISE.

P - Proclaim our Lord’s greatness

R - Reflect on His love, goodness, and faithfulness

A - Adore Him

I - Invite His presence and involve Him in your day

S - Sing to Him

E - Expect Him to work

Lord, thank you that you delight in your people. You delight in me.

You crown the humble with victory. Lord, there is reward in choosing to humble myself. There is victory every time I surrender to you. The victory I experience may look differently to what I expected it to be, but it will be right and powerful because you are in it.

Lord, help me to remain faithful to you, to find reason to rejoice at all times because you choose to honour your people.

When I go to bed at night, may I sing for joy because of your goodness and faithfulness I have experienced throughout the day.

Lord, let me live with praises on my lips and the sword of the Spirit in my hand. This is the way to victory day by day. Thank you that in you and through you this way of living is possible.
