I live in the South East of England with my husband Andy. I love the Lord, being in God's presence, and praying, as well as connecting with people of all-ages and all-abilities. Being the eldest of five, I became disability aware in my early years as my mum has multiple health challenges from birth. I've been diagnosed with a rare genetic mutation (m.3243A>G) resulting in bilateral hearing loss and being registered severely sight impaired (SSI).

My lived experience and skills set through supporting families, church ministries and disability groups in various sectors enables me to connect with folk, understand the daily, sometimes multiple challenges experienced, as well as explore healthy strategies together to support belonging, growing in faith, resilience and hope.

I joined Open Ears shortly after receiving resources Emily (OE team member / Trustee) contributed to in partnership with another Christian Disability Charity. I really appreciated the welcome and support, accessible fellowship and renewed sense of belonging. When asked to pray for the Open Ears team and Trustees, God led me to offer support to the team, here I am. I look forward to connecting with you and welcoming many more people to the Open Ears family-fellowship.
